IBM AS/400*

The IBM AS/400 language has been around for some time now. We have seen it used in a full spectrum of different applications. Most notably for us, several car dealerships that we have as clients use hardware and software from IBM and the AS/400 OS.

So what do we do when we need to replace a part, upgrade a processor, or add some memory? Well, unfortunately, your options are extremely limited. It used to be that the company who had your maintenance contract was also your supplier. This was not great for the client, as the vendor could charge whatever they deemed appropriate, and often would make the client upgrade when there was a problem, instead of fix what was there. Fortunately there are options now, so if you need new or refurbished AS/400 parts or supplies, you are no longer at the vendor’s mercy.
