LED Candles

OK, yeah I am a total geek. I admit it. I like all kind of gadgets. I even have LED candles. they are LED lights built-in to candle shape. I even have LED candles that you can blow on or off through the use of a little sensor near the lamp. They were especially useful at the campsites this year. No worry that they will start anything on fire, and you don’t even have to remember to blow them out. They were totally safe around the not-always-coordinated kids. Also, they do make a nice ambiance inside the tent. (but that is for another blog altogether…)

I see the price of these LED candles coming down more and more. I for one, am sold. No more wax all over the place. No more setting off the smoke detectors. No more impossible to light wicks. And most of all, they are completely safe!

  1. They’re a great idea.. but for birthday candles nothing beats the real thing.. especially the ones that don’t blow out :D

Do the LED candles give off any heat? Like, can you use them for much warmth? How far does the light go too?

  2. LED candles that you can blow off? Now that’s some thing that would make a great addition to my gadget collection.

  3. I am a little to addicted to this technology. They provide an unbelievably accurate light and they are too fun. Safe for older folks too.
