Work Boots

Sunday, November 25th, 2007

With each new step in growth in your company, comes a new set of hurdles. If you buy a bunch of new equipment for your shipping department, you will then be required by OSEA to put new safety measures in place to keep your employees safe.

One such safety measure is foot protection. So, now you must make sure that your employees have the proper work shoes. It is important that you purchase quality Steel Toe Boots and that they have the proper fit.

When you are buying online, make sure they offer free shipping at the $100 mark. Check their return policy to ensure that they will exchange them if the work boots do not fit correctly. Do some research to see that they are priced competitively.

AMD’s New Microprocessors

Sunday, November 25th, 2007

AMD is now working on a new set of microprocessors that are more efficient. Both Intel and AMD are both understanding the need to create smaller, cooler, and faster CPU’s. The new CPU that AMD is soon to release on the market is believed to be the ultimate solution to laptop user’s needs – longer power and more efficient product lines.

All laptops have problems with battery life. More often than not, its battery run out even before the user had finished doing their tasks on their computer. AMD is looking to solve that problem. It is looking to create a processor that works with lesser heat and least power required. Therefore, the laptop’s battery won’t run out faster than it should.

Datehookup.com

Sunday, November 25th, 2007

I recently took a look at Datehookup.com. Their registration forms were easy to complete and very thorough. They allow you to describe yourself, your personality, and even upload a photo, all for free! The search feature is robust and allows you to drill down by personality, income, religious preference, or many other areas. Although I am new to personals, I look forward to seeing how might be interested in meeting me based on my own description.

Smaller and Skinnier PC’s

Sunday, November 25th, 2007

Last month, AMD attempted at yet another skinny innovation of a desktop PC. This is a far cry from the iMac, which had conveniently found a way to totally do without the bulky computer chassis. However, AMD is doing its best to minimize the space required for computers, all for the benefit of middle-class computer users who can’t much afford the high-off-the-roof price of iMacs.

AMD called their small and thin chassis the DXT form factor. It’s almost a third smaller than the regular ATX chassis and several inches more compact and thinner than the micro ATX. The box also includes locations for the computer’s major components, namely the motherboard, expansion slot, mounting holes, and input/output ports.

Online Storage Options

Saturday, November 24th, 2007

I personally like to use 4shared.com when it comes to online file storage, and these are for a lot of reasons. First off, 4shared.com lets me use download accelerators whenever I need to. It also lets me upload multiple files, as well as lets me the see the progress of my uploads through its progress bar! This way, I can easily budget my time for uploading.

What’s more, 4shared.com allows anonymous file uploading, which is a good thing because I highly value my privacy. Not only that, I can also download multiple files spontaneously! Now, this is the feature I like best about 4shared.com, plus the fact that I can change the file description of my downloads to whatever I want!

My LED Christmas

Friday, November 23rd, 2007

I switched over to LED Christmas lights last year. The new LED mini lights are so much more efficient than the old incandescent bulbs, and they last 50,000 or more hours. No more spending 4 hours trying to figure out which bulb is out every year.

The uses for this new LED technology are cropping up all over the place. We had them installed around the bottom edge of our deck railing to light the deck with ambient soft light during a late even get-together. The installer was even able to make bends and splits that were impossible older style lights.

Also, when you use these LED mini lights as your LED Xmas lights, you can attach them end to end for long distances. Now anyone can get good coverage on the tree when I have that many lights available to me.

These LED Christmas tree lights run much cooler than a standard bulb so they are much safer than older-style bulbs. They run just 1 degree over the current room temperature so they are basically cool to the touch. That’s another nice feature if you have kids or kids visit during the Holidays.

LimeWire

Saturday, November 17th, 2007

LimeWire is just about the best file sharing program that I have ever come across with. And it is the fastest as well, especially when it comes to version 4.14 of the program itself! With LimeWire 4.14, I have better control over shared folders in my network. I also have a built-in Bittorrent Support system in the program! This means I have more ways to share files with my friends!

Another thing that I enjoy about LimeWire 4.14 is the fact that I receive notifications when my downloads are done already. And the same goes no matter what application I am currently using! This is just about the most convenient feature this new version can boast of!
