WordPress & MoveableType Hosting

Saturday, October 20th, 2007

Hosting is an important choice. I have told you before that we are in the market to change over all of our hosting accounts. One hosting company that has caught our eye is AQ Host. We found them an excellent option if you are looking for blog hosting. If you are using a MovableType or Wordpress blog, then AQ Hosting has you covered there too.

Here is a little background on the AQ Hosting Company. It is one of the most respected budget hosting companies in the world. AQ Hosting Company can offer some of the most reliable hosting and still give you the things you need. With large amounts of hard drive space, huge powerful servers, multiple internet backbones, online initiated backups, and massive bandwidth, AQ Hosting Company can offer you more than most of the more expensive hosting companies.

If you are using a free-hosted Blog set up, you should consider moving to AQ Hosting Company. They can get you your own domain name, set up the server, and even move over any information from your previous cPanel website. If you have or are thinking of going with a Wordpress Blog and need wordpress hosting, they will move or install it for you, free of charge!

Hosting Reseller

Wednesday, September 5th, 2007

I have been severely disappointed in the service from our current hosting company. I am not in the habit of bad-mouthing, but they have got to go. I have been shopping around for a resellers account so I can offer a better product to our clients and hosting customers. The problem being, that I do not want to get me clients in a worse situation. Many of them know that we are doing what we can to take care of the problems, but they have a business to run, and can only put up with it for so long.

I found a great comparison chart at Web Hosting Unleashed and they even have coupons for some of the sites they recommend.

There are a few things that we use as criteria, and maybe you can to.
1. Price point: How much is it?
2. What about support? Do you get dedicated support? How about hours?
3. Redundancy and Backups: How often do they backup and how much does it cost?

Now I just need to contact the resellers they recommend, individually and see what the can offer us, and see if we are a right match for them. I hope this will help someone else in finding the right reseller hosting when the time comes for them too.
