Where do you get all of your 5.11 Tactical Clothing and Gear?

Friday, November 2nd, 2007

As you all know, I do spend a bit of time giving back to my favorite hobby. I was lucky to have had a wonderful instructor for handgun, rifle and shotgun training. He has really gone the extra mile for me and I appreciate it. Our agreement was that I would do the same when the time came and I do and am. I spend a lot of time with the local police and sheriff’s departments at my home range. We are there to keep them safe and to offer our assistance and expertise.

One question I am often asked is where to find some of the equipment that I use. I have a lot of specialized gear that I use for practical and tactical competitions I am involved in. Most of the clothing I wear is specialized as well. You can find some of the best deals on 511 Tactical Clothing and accessories at 511tacticaloutdoors. They have some of the best selection of clothing, hard to find flashlights and the best holsters around.

LG VX8500 Chocolate

Friday, November 2nd, 2007

If there is one mobile phone that I have been pining for the longest time, it’s the LG VX8500 Chocolate. When it comes to style, design, and features, the LG VX8500 Chocolate is indeed the phone that I so want to have.

But the feature that I so love about this phone is its music player. If you do not have an iPod player, then you should consider getting the LG VX8500 Chocolate, just like me. This is because the phone comes with touch buttons just like the iPod player. But the LG VX8500 Chocolate is way better than the iPod player because it has speakers! You no longer have to plug your phone onto speakers. In this aspect alone, the LG VX8500 Chocolate is definitely the better choice!

Pink Zune For Girls Or Dumbledore

Friday, October 26th, 2007

Heard about the rumored Pink Zune from Microsoft? The first time I read something about it, I was awed by its great features and capabilities. It was finally launched this year by Microsoft itself, along with its other wonderful gadgets.

Pink Zune is the perfect weapon for girl techies who need to stay in style. It was designed by Microsoft to appear as a light Magenta. What I find highly valuable about this product is the video and music streaming capability it can handle. It is a high-end unit that does not only allow users to listen to a variety of music from its built-in radio and sound files, but to view vivid photos as well. The settings are user-friendly, making it more wonderful to take.

For this Christmas season, I would start shopping for the best deals around as early as possible.

Sony HDRSR7 and DCR-SR42 Camcorders

Tuesday, October 23rd, 2007

Sony camcorders are among the most praised and valued technologies of today. If I had the money to buy one for myself, I’d choose something that shoots with high definition clarity, allowing me to capture all the memorable moments possible.

One great camcorder that makes that degree of clarity possible, is the Sony HDRSR7 hi-definition hard drive camcorder. It features a 60 GB hard disk drive, compact design, and zooming capabilities. These handy cameras go from $884 to $1,400 though.

There is also Sony DCR-SR42 30 hard drive camcorder with a 3D tour feature. It needs no switching of tapes to capture actions simultaneously, as you can start filming as long as you have power. This model has a price of $425, which is pretty reasonable for a functional camcorder.

Which of the two camcorders should I choose? That will depend much on what I really can afford to pay.

Apple iPhone 8GB

Tuesday, October 23rd, 2007

The Apple iPhone 8GB has indeed caused quite a stir in the market. It has received a lot of negative reviews. But I, for one, am still considering getting my own iPhone really soon. With its specs and features, the iPhone indeed makes a great gadget.

The iPhone is actually a camera, digital player, and MP3 player all rolled in one. It has WiFi, and supports Bluetooth technology. Its camera has 2.0 megapixel capabilities, with a hard drive capacity of 8GB. The phone supports a number of media formats, namely H.264, Apple Lossless, WAV, AAC, AIFF, and MP3 files. What’s more, it supports POP3 and IMAP4 messaging! This is still a pretty cool phone to have!

Apple iPod Nano

Tuesday, October 23rd, 2007

Music is my lifeline, and this is precisely why I am thinking of getting the Apple iPod Nano 4GB. With it’s small size, it is very impressive how it can store up to a thousand songs! Plus, it supports a lot of media files, namely AAC, AIFF, Apple Lossless. MP3, WAV, and Audible. It even comes with sleek headphones as well. I want it completely loaded with a docking station!

With its thousand-song capability, I have just about three days’ worth of music at the very palm of my hand. I can take it whenever I’m out fishing, or even when I’m just taking my dog out for a walk! It’s also a great bonus that the player looks very cool as well.

RIM Blackberry 8830

Tuesday, October 23rd, 2007

I am thinking of getting the RIM Blackberry 8830 because of its great specs and features! Also known as the Research In Motion Blackberry, it boasts Bluetooth technology, and can support MIDI and MP3 file formats. I would not even have to worry about not having enough memory because the phone has expandable MicroSD memory!

The phone also supports MMS, SMS, and Email, so I can always be contacted through these different messaging applications. Another great thing about the RIM Blackberry 8830 is that it has Yahoo! Messenger on it! This is pretty convenient because it lets me stay online, even if I am away from my computer!

Packet8 VoIP

Monday, October 22nd, 2007

There are many facets to the VoIP technology, but this article will be mainly covering what is possible and how it can work for your small business, not how it works or particular end-user features. It will also try to give you an idea of what is possible and the diverse scalability offered.

Many of our small and medium sized businesses are interested in Business VoIP for its cost-effectiveness and the want to move away from large, immobile, and over-priced telephone companies. VoIP is a way of using your existing broadband or high-speed internet connection for your voice and fax communications needs.

With VoIP you can even keep your current phone numbers and have them transferred to your new VoIP phone system or lines. VoIP phone lines work nearly identical to traditional lines. You can have a phone number with the same area code as your existing traditional phone lines, and add additional lines of different area codes, as well as toll-free numbers.

You may also ask if you will still have access to emergency services, such as 911. The answer is yes, you will, although you or your provider will have to register with emergency services to let them know the physical location of the virtual phone lines you are using.

In order to take full advantage of the services offered by the VoIP technology, you should consider either a PC-based software package or hardware VoIP dedicated phones.

For small businesses, the biggest reason to consider VoIP services is to save money. There are many reasons that you can save with VoIP including: purchase only the services you need at the time; not having to purchase costly equipment; Save money by having unlimited local and long-distance calling; an Auto Attendant for a professional image; manage extensions for multiple locations from an on-line control panel; Add expandable VoIP services and equipment as you need them; Keep costs low on equipment and virtually no maintenance.

Many small businesses would be best served by using an auto-attendant to route or callers, saving the expense of a dedicated staff member for answering and directing calls. Also, using your existing Ethernet broadband infrastructure kepps costs low. You can also use your existing business-class phones along with a broadband adapter. Outlook integration is an added benefit.

Explore your Packet8 Virtual Office options to become even more informed. You will see that many small businesses can take advantage of low initial start-up costs and the opportunity to only buy the products and features you need.

Canon PowerShot

Monday, October 22nd, 2007

The Canon PowerShot series is just about one of the best in the market right now. I am considering getting one myself, but I am having trouble choosing between two of its top models: the A640 and the A710 IS.

The A640, in particular, boasts of 10 megapixel capability, while the A710 IS boasts of just 7.1 megapixels. Both, however, are very much capable of producing prints of poster-size already, so there’s not much difference there at all. But when it comes to zoom-in capabilities, the A640 has just up to 4X. The A710 IS, however, boasts of up to 6X! Plus, it comes with optical image stabilization! Both models are in the same price range, so I’m putting the A710 IS on top of my wish list! I think this model will let me get professional quality photos.
