Pink Zune For Girls Or Dumbledore

October 26th, 2007

Heard about the rumored Pink Zune from Microsoft? The first time I read something about it, I was awed by its great features and capabilities. It was finally launched this year by Microsoft itself, along with its other wonderful gadgets.

Pink Zune is the perfect weapon for girl techies who need to stay in style. It was designed by Microsoft to appear as a light Magenta. What I find highly valuable about this product is the video and music streaming capability it can handle. It is a high-end unit that does not only allow users to listen to a variety of music from its built-in radio and sound files, but to view vivid photos as well. The settings are user-friendly, making it more wonderful to take.

For this Christmas season, I would start shopping for the best deals around as early as possible.

Sony HDRSR7 and DCR-SR42 Camcorders

October 23rd, 2007

Sony camcorders are among the most praised and valued technologies of today. If I had the money to buy one for myself, I’d choose something that shoots with high definition clarity, allowing me to capture all the memorable moments possible.

One great camcorder that makes that degree of clarity possible, is the Sony HDRSR7 hi-definition hard drive camcorder. It features a 60 GB hard disk drive, compact design, and zooming capabilities. These handy cameras go from $884 to $1,400 though.

There is also Sony DCR-SR42 30 hard drive camcorder with a 3D tour feature. It needs no switching of tapes to capture actions simultaneously, as you can start filming as long as you have power. This model has a price of $425, which is pretty reasonable for a functional camcorder.

Which of the two camcorders should I choose? That will depend much on what I really can afford to pay.

Oregon Vacations

October 23rd, 2007

The Oregon Coast is a magic and wonderful place. It has so many diverse environments. In the bays you get rocky shores and glassy waters. On the coast, you get wild waves suitable for surfing and sandy shores the occasional driftwood log. In the inlets, you see grassy plains perfect for agriculture. Higher up the mountain is the home of a budding wine making and grape-growing area.

Each season of the year feels completely different. The summers are long and the sunsets are beautifully warm, perfect for a late evening marshmallow roast on the beach. Spring and Fall bring on the brisk breezes perfect for kite-flying. Winter is the time for cuddling up in front of the fireplace with that special someone to watch the weather and waves.

Each city and town of the Oregon Coast has its own distinct personality. Some towns thrive on their antiques and markets. Others are known for their art and crafts. Some have the feel of a big city, with high-end dining, entertainment, and a casino.

When you visit the Oregon Coast, there are so many places to stay. You can choose to stay at a motel or hotel, buy a time-share, or you can rent a vacation home. Hotels can be impersonal and often don’t give you the true flavor of the town or city you are staying in. Time-shares are expensive and often don’t give you the flexibility you might want to visit other towns or cities, and often lock you in to certain times of the year. Rental homes are the perfect way to enjoy the true Oregon Coast experience.

Each Oregon Rental home is often decorated to show the tastes of the owners, with a special look and feel. You don’t share a wall with some noisy neighbors, and you can set your own schedule. Barbecue on the back deck, within view of the ocean, or go out to eat at a local eatery and watch the sunset. Get up early and go to the craft fair. Take off for the day up or down the coast and know you have a place to come back to. Some even offer a private hot tub to ease the tension away. Oregon coast vacation rentals give you the opportunity to truly enjoy the coast at your pace and at your convenience, and isn’t that what we all want when we are on vacation?

Apple iPhone 8GB

October 23rd, 2007

The Apple iPhone 8GB has indeed caused quite a stir in the market. It has received a lot of negative reviews. But I, for one, am still considering getting my own iPhone really soon. With its specs and features, the iPhone indeed makes a great gadget.

The iPhone is actually a camera, digital player, and MP3 player all rolled in one. It has WiFi, and supports Bluetooth technology. Its camera has 2.0 megapixel capabilities, with a hard drive capacity of 8GB. The phone supports a number of media formats, namely H.264, Apple Lossless, WAV, AAC, AIFF, and MP3 files. What’s more, it supports POP3 and IMAP4 messaging! This is still a pretty cool phone to have!

Airsoft Pistols

October 23rd, 2007

Airsoft target shooting has become an extremely popular sport here in the US. Many people have found the benefits of an outdoor activity, and the fun and strategy of an exciting game. If you are going to shoot airsoft guns, remember the famous credo: The first rule of gun fighting is to have a gun.

Here are some things to keep in mind when you are shopping for an Airsoft rifle:

1. You should try out all types of guns before buying one. Try borrowed or rented guns to get the chance to choose which gun that works for you. The Airsoft gun should provide ease of use and comfort for the user. It should also give you confidence in your ability.
2. Before buying a Airsoft gun, it is important that you decide on the size of the gun, the style and the features you desire. Remember, the bigger the gun caliberm the heavier the gun usually becomes. A good gun should be the right size for you and should contain the amount of ammunition needed to fire at the targets.
3. Price is always a factor. It is important that you determine your budget for the gun. There are many Airsoft guns in the market and prices may range from $100 to several thousand. The cost of the gun will depend on the brand and features you choose.
4. Seek advice from friends who have shot Airsoft, instructors, and coaches of shooting ranges who will be able to provide some tips on what Airsoft guns they have used and have found effective.
5. The buyer should shop around first before deciding on a particular Airsoft gun. This will give him the chance to evaluate and compare prices. Some shops offer lower prices than other shops, so do some research and purchase the one that fits your needs and pocketbook.
6. Remember your safety equipment! Don’t be stingy here. You will thank me later. I would rather spend more on safety equipment and stay longer with a little less expensive gun than the other way around.

I myself have been looking in to the Colt Model 1911 A1 Airsoft gun. I shoot in local IPSC/USPSA matches, and I have been looking for a way to practice some techniques at home. I would like to practice all the way from the draw to the target acquiring to the follow-through, and this gun would exactly emulate the .45 pistol I currently shoot at these matches.

Apple iPod Nano

October 23rd, 2007

Music is my lifeline, and this is precisely why I am thinking of getting the Apple iPod Nano 4GB. With it’s small size, it is very impressive how it can store up to a thousand songs! Plus, it supports a lot of media files, namely AAC, AIFF, Apple Lossless. MP3, WAV, and Audible. It even comes with sleek headphones as well. I want it completely loaded with a docking station!

With its thousand-song capability, I have just about three days’ worth of music at the very palm of my hand. I can take it whenever I’m out fishing, or even when I’m just taking my dog out for a walk! It’s also a great bonus that the player looks very cool as well.

Bad Credit? Don’t Worry!

October 23rd, 2007

I hear it all of the time. People can’t get a credit card because they have bad or no credit. So what are they to do? You should be careful of applying for the pre-approved credit card offers you see in the mail, because it may hurt your chances if you have too many inquiries on your credit report. Try BadCreditOffers.com’s website. They offer credit card offers specifically designed for those of us with less than perfect credit. Many of these programs are designed to help you fix your bad credit.

RIM Blackberry 8830

October 23rd, 2007

I am thinking of getting the RIM Blackberry 8830 because of its great specs and features! Also known as the Research In Motion Blackberry, it boasts Bluetooth technology, and can support MIDI and MP3 file formats. I would not even have to worry about not having enough memory because the phone has expandable MicroSD memory!

The phone also supports MMS, SMS, and Email, so I can always be contacted through these different messaging applications. Another great thing about the RIM Blackberry 8830 is that it has Yahoo! Messenger on it! This is pretty convenient because it lets me stay online, even if I am away from my computer!
